Group Questions in Response to Gee's Bend Quilts
Create a Google Doc shared with all of the people in your group and with Ms. Ridl and please respond to the following questions as a group.
1. What are at least 4 things that make these quilts unique? Why are they special?
2. What do you think has influenced the COLORS, TEXTURES, or 'PATINAS' of these quilts? What might influence the ARRANGEMENT of the patterns?
3. Look at the Modernist Paintings on Moodle...Where do you see similarities to the Gee's Bend Quilts? (Be specific).
4. Copy paste the Modernist paintings from Moodle into your google doc and 'match' each one with a Gee's bend quilt that looks insanely similar to each of the famous paintings.
5. How do the Gee’s Bend Quiltmakers demonstrate resilience?
6. What is Value (as an
