Biology B For The Science Major: O'Brien

Hi folks,

I'm sorry I can't be with you today but Mrs. Nyhof knows biology so she will definitely be able to help you if you have questions!  Have a great day and a great weekend!

For today:

1. Finish the Virus Life Cycle document through Conclusions and Connections #3.  Mrs. Nyhof should be able to help clarify most things you might have questions about.  She knows biology!  Hand your comic in to her even if you have questions and we will be sure to solve final questions next week BEFORE a grade goes in.
2. Thoughtfully review your Immune System notes from Wed/Thur (non specific and specific immune response).  Write down any questions you still have so you are ready to ask Mrs. O'Brien on Monday/Tuesday.  (Watch the Immune System video if you were absent or need some review.)  
3. Watch the video.  Be sure it makes sense in terms of your Immune System notes and our discussion on Wednesday/Thursday.  If you have questions, write them down so you are ready to ask!
4. Look over the Virus 5 Characteristics Notes Slides 1-11.  I'll clarify the DNA/RNA part and any questions on the lytic/lysogenic part on Monday/Tuesday, but most of this should make sense if you are finished with the Virus Life Cycle work.
5. Look over Standards 2.1-2.4.  Quiz on 2.1-2.4 on Wednesday/Thursday.
6. Study for your Standards 2.1-2.4 quiz or start watching Bacteria Part 1.

Please be sure you get through at least step 5 by Monday/Tuesday.  Step 6 is NOT homework for this weekend, but will save you homework time next week!
