Safety

  1. I know where the fire extinguisher is and how to use it and I will use it if necessary.

  2. I know where the eye wash is, how to use it and I will use it if necessary.

  3. I know the safety plans for fire, tornado and lockdown and I will follow these plans in case of drill or actual event

  4. I have informed my instructor of any allergies or concerns I have related to working with biological material including soil, bacteria and fungi.

  5. I will dispose of broken glassware and all chemicals as designated by the instructor.

  6. I have read the safety guidelines in my textbook.  I understand them and agree to abide by them (appendix B in the back).

  7. I will immediately inform the instructor of any concerns I have regarding laboratory safety.  (examples:  clogged sink, frayed wire on microscope, spills, etc.)

  8. I agree to follow any additional instructor safety requirements given for lab activities.
